Travis Perkins deal puts gloss on eco friendly paint brush manufacturer

Northampton-based green manufacturer, Eco Ezee has won a major contract to supply its range of sustainable decorating products to leading buildings merchant Travis Perkins.
Eco Ezee will see its range of environmentally friendly paintbrushes, roller sleeves and roller frames, stocked at 500 trade counters of Travis Perkins Group. The deal is a major boost for the family-run small business that launched five years ago. The brand prides itself on its professional quality and triple award winning range, which it claims embody “sustainability without compromise on quality”. Travis Perkins has been stocking some Eco Ezee products at some of its stores since 2009, but this is the first nationwide rollout.

“We’re extremely pleased that Travis Perkins are rolling out our sustainable decorating sundries range nationwide,” Andy Barnwell, director of Eco Ezee, said. “Our ethos centres on providing professional quality and sustainable products without any cost premium, ensuring that our range ‘doesn’t cost the earth’ in more ways than one.”
Customers will be able to purchase sustainable decorating supplies made of bamboo, which is stronger than maple, lighter than oak, and constructed from a mixture of recycled natural and synthetic materials. Roller frames are designed using both recycled metal and plastic, and Eco Ezee roller sleeves are made from100 per cent recycled polyester. Eco Ezee said all its products were compatible with all paint types.

Travis Perkins said stocking the Eco Ezee range formed part of its strategy to provide a complete solutions approach to sustainable building. The company also provides help, support and expert technical assistance to the construction industry on sustainable building projects via its Sustainable Building Solutions (SBS) division.
