8th September 2011
Vauxhall/Opel is developing a lightweight, two-seat electric concept vehicle aimed at young drivers and those on a tight budget.
Vauxhall/Opel will unveil the experimental vehicle at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week. Inspired by the Ampera, the battery-powered electric vehicle (EV) is stylish, yet would be "highly affordable", the company said. Weighing about a third of a small modern car, it would have a 60 mile range and would be capable of 75 miles per hour. The carmaker said it had "production potential".

Vauxhall/Opel will reveal more details about the EV next week.
