Renewable energy firm embarks on UK expansion
9th December 2010
A Liverpool-based firm specialising in renewable energy solutions for homeowners and businesses is reporting rapid expansion with plans to open offices across the UK.
Three year-old Eco-Environments
has opened a string of offices in the northwest in the past few weeks and says it plans to repeat the process across the UK.
The company designs, installs and commissions renewable energy and energy conservation solutions, specialising in solar photovoltaic, wind turbines and solar thermal water heating systems.
It is reporting a growth in turnover of £100,000 in its first year to a forecast £1.8million this financial year and has just opened an office in Darlington following similar openings in Manchester, Penrith and Tamworth.
energy is one of the most exciting sectors in Britain today and during the past three years, Eco-Environments has established itself as one of the fastest growing and most respected businesses in that market," said David Hunt, one of the company’s three directors. "We have a very clear business plan which will see us establish ourselves as the leading business of its kind in the North of England and then across the whole of the UK. We believe having a local presence is critical and we will continue to open offices in the different regions."
Eco-Environment says it is benefiting from business generated through the Government renewable energy incentive, the Feed-in Tariff, which rewards homeowners and businesses that generate their own renewable electricity on-site.
News of the firm’s expansion comes in the same week as the Government has introduced its Energy Bill, which contains its flagship Green Deal policy on energy efficiency, in Parliament. The Green Deal will enable homeowners and business owners to gain access to upfront capital to complete energy efficiency measures, specifically insulation. It is expected to create thousands of jobs for small to medium sized building and insulation firms.
