Germany calls for mediation committee on solar cuts

Germany's Bundesrat upper house on Friday voted against cuts to solar incentives and called for a parliamentary mediation committee to resolve the matter. Sources have said that the proposed cuts, which include a 16 percent reduction in so-called feed-in tariffs for new rooftop solar installations, will therefore not be able to take effect on July 1, as planned.
