Environmental management and compliance outfit, Envos, is expanding with the opening of a new consultancy in Gloucestershire.
The franchise company, which already has offices in London, Kent, Birmingham, Corby, Devon, Glasgow and Edinburgh, says the consultancy in Gloucestershire will help businesses and property owners across the region meet new environmental legislation required for selling and letting commercial property, as well as help cut their energy bills. The company's services cover Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), BREEAM, Display Energy
Certificates, the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme
and Code for Sustainable Homes, plus in depth energy-use surveys.
Around 49 per cent of all energy used in the UK goes on heating buildings and the franchise consultancy believes that it can help landlords and building owners improve the energy efficiency of their buildings and increase their value, as well as meet what Envos describes as
"a raft of new environmental legislation" facing businesses.
Simon Vamplew, director, Envos Gloucestershire, said: “There is vast scope for Envos to assist businesses and property owners in the region. There is a wide range of new environmental legislation now being implemented that requires businesses to record their energy use and demonstrate they are taking steps to cut their carbon output. While this can seem daunting it is also a strong opportunity for businesses to save money on energy bills and demonstrate their green and CSR (corporate social responsibility) credentials, and we expect to see increasing demand for consultancy services which enable them to achieve these goals.”
The opening of Envos Gloucestershire comes at the same time as the franchise consultancy has been named the approved supplier of Environmental Management and Certification Services for the network of 300, UK-wide, estate agencies of Team Property Services.
Martin Suttie, National Business director, Team Property Services, said: “With a large national network of branches, it made a lot of commercial sense to partner with an organisation like Envos that can provide cost-efficient energy assessments, certification and environmental management for our client base across the whole country. This partnership gives Team an extra service to offer our clients and provides us with a commercial advantage over our competitors in an area which all property owners now have to address.”
